Bright Skies is a community of Christian Scientists within Garden Villas, a full-service retirement community. We are located in Kansas City, MO. Bright Skies is close to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Overland Park, and a major shopping mall is only 2 blocks away. Application to Bright Skies requires Mother Church membership, although a spouse need not be a Christian Scientist.

There are 3 apartment styles available within the retirement community, studio, one bedroom, and two bedrooms, with bathroom/s off each bedroom, all have ample closets, and a balcony or patio. There is also a secure storage space for each apartment. There is a central dining room offering superb cuisine 3 meals daily, regular mail service, 24 hours staffing, lovely lounge areas, weekly maid service with flat linen service, complimentary laundry facilities, a beauty and barber salon, library/computer lab, a heated indoor swimming pool, a golf putting green, onsite banking, game room, ice cream parlor, cable TV, fitness center, and assistance with handyman tasks and other small services.

Garden Villas offers a variety of cultural, social and recreational programs in a warm, congenial atmosphere. You may bring your pet, and parking is available for those with their own cars; however, scheduled transportation services will take you shopping, banking, to the theatre, and to many special events. Bright Skies provides transportation to Sunday and Wednesday Christian Science services.

Bright Skies also offers a supportive atmosphere where members may continue to practice Christian Science. We have a lovely study room available for your use at any time twenty-four hours a day. It is equipped with Concord and a full set of the bound volumes and is a nice place in which to do Bible research.
