Twelveacres is an independent, full-service, non-profit corporation providing drug-free living in six homes in the San Jose, CA area. In these homes reside developmentally-challenged adults who wish to rely entirely on spiritual healing as practiced in Christian Science. Twelveacres is the only facility of its kind in the world, serving both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents. Twelveacres, established in 1932, is Silicon Valley’s oldest care provider. Educating the “Whole Person” spiritually as well as mentally, culturally, creatively, and physically, is an integral part of Twelveacres’ methodology. Residents’ progressive achievements and growth are expected and experienced.

The unique story being written at Twelveacres is about individuals: the residents – their quality of life, their daily progress, their goals – and the staff, whose loving commitment is to help each resident achieve his/her fullest potential in a drug-free, non-medical environment which emphasizes the “Whole Person” – mental, physical, spiritual, cultural, and creative.
